Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun

After graduation and completion of internship training from Mymensingh Medical College, Mymensingh on 1996, he joined as Research Assistant in the Department of Cardiology, then Institute of Post Graduate Medicine & Research (IPGMR), now Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Dhaka. During my tenure several research work undergone on hypertension and its consequences on cardiovascular disease.

He has completed one year post graduate training on Cardiology from BSMMU and one year post graduate training on Medicine from Shaheed Surahwardy Hospital, Dhaka.

He has worked more than three years in a specialized cardiac hospital and another three years in a diabetic hospital and take part in different research activities and participated in several workshop and seminar.

He has completed my post-graduation in public health, Master in Public Health (MPH) from National Institute of Preventive and Social Medicine on 2009. I have submitted my Dissertation on ‘Patterns of Dyslipidaemia in Type II diabetic Patients as a part of fulfillment of my post-graduation in public health.

He has played active role and participated several research works as Principal Investigator, Co-Investigator, Research Assistant, Research Physician and Research Fellow supported by National Heart Foundation Hospital & Research Institute, Bangladesh;  Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, USA; Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Medical Research Council, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Bangladesh and Nagoya University, Japan.

Several research works published in abstract book and presented in poster session in different national and international seminar.

He has completed several certificate courses on global tobacco control, diabetology, SPSS, biostatics, capacity building for strategic communication, message development, research methodology and cardiovascular epidemiology in home and abroad.
